Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. / Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time? / Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. / But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
Practical Application
God eternally rules the universe, even when he appears to have forsaken it. Return to God, and he will return to you; he will not reject you.
Sample Prayer
God, please help us remember that you rule the universe, even when you appear to have forsaken us. I return to you with all of my heart, knowing that you will not reject me. Amen!
