Easter is a holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ (God the Son).
1st Sunday after the 1st full moon on or after March 21
Matthew 28:6: He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Mark 16:6: And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Luke 24:6: He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
John 20:9: For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Luke 2:11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Jesus was born to save the world and invite himself as Lord. People who open their hearts’ doors invite Jesus to rule over them.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God loves people, so he came to Earth to die on a cross for the sins of the world. He gives eternal life, ultimately in the new heavens and new earth, to people who believe (trust) in him to save them from their sins.
Every human (except Jesus) has sinned against God, so Jesus came to Earth as a man to die for the sins of the world. He then rose from the dead with a glorified body and returned to the 3rd heaven. Anyone who, with a repentant and willing heart, trusts in Jesus to save them from their sins is forgiven of all their sins and has eternal life with God.
Thank you for reading this article. May God bless you with forgiveness of your sins, so you can live with him for eternity, ultimately in the new heavens and new earth.
